Founder of Microsoft in 1975, Bill Gates was the main shareholder of his company until 2014, and has been one of the richest men in the world for many years now, obviously helped by a certain Windows. During a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) meeting, Bill Gates was keen to answer the many questions asked by Internet users, some of whom asked the former Microsoft CEO about his smartphone habits.
No, Bill Gates does not use a Microsoft smartphone
Indeed, we already knew that Bill Gates was obviously a fervent defender of Windows Phone in the past, but that he has for a few years set his sights on Android, to the detriment of iOS. The 66-year-old American, however, has never mentioned any smartphone in particular, and if many imagine Bill Gates handling a Microsoft Surface Duo on a daily basis, the truth is quite different…
Indeed, during this session Reddit AMA, Bill Gates wanted to confirm that he used a smartphone signed… Samsung every day. The latter has indeed announced that he was the proud owner of a Galaxy Z Fold 3, and that after having tested several smartphones, it was Samsung’s folding smartphone that seduced him. “With this screen, I enjoy both an excellent laptop and a smartphone, without bothering with anything else.” says Bill Gates.
For some, it is quite confusing to see Bill Gates favoring a Samsung smartphone, rather than Microsoft’s Surface Duo. The latter has largely the same characteristics as the Samsung smartphone, with two internal screens mounted on a hinge, a device that allows you to enjoy both a smartphone and a tablet, via a single device. .
Remember, however, that Microsoft and Samsung are (very) long-standing partners, and that the Android ecosystem has always been very inclined to welcome Microsoft software.
