Xiaomi releases MIUI 13.1 based on Android 13 in China

Between MIUI 13 and MIUI 14, users expected to receive MIUI 13.5, which appeared in a leak earlier, but Xiaomi brought MIUI 13.1 based on Android 13 in China.

In appearance, the new version of the interface from the Chinese manufacturer does not seem to have undergone any changes, with the main highlight being the new version of Google’s operating system, which had a new beta released recently.

MIUI 13.1 based on Android 13 began to be available for Xiaomi 12 line phones in China. As can be seen in the photos below, it is based on the third beta version of Google’s operating system and code V13.1.22.7.28.DEV., with its ending indicating that it has arrived for developers only.

No official information was released about the new version of Xiaomi’s interface or its features, but it should contain the news of the latest beta versions of Android 13, such as the reminder to configure notifications permissions, improvements in security and general stability. In the coming weeks, Google is expected to start rolling out the stable version of Android 13 to its Pixel devices.

MIUI 13.1 should be restricted to a few devices, as well as MIUI 12.5 based on Android 12 beta, which arrived for the Xiaomi 11T and Redmi K40 Pro line. Later, Xiaomi released the stable version of Android 12 with MIUI 13, starting the rollout to its mobiles.

At the end of July, the first details of MIUI 14 were released, bringing news in design and interesting features.
