Xiaomi may soon launch its new competitor for Galaxy Z Flip 5, Razr 40 Ultra and Find N2 Flip. According to the informant digital chat stationthe Chinese giant is developing an “extremely thin and light” folding cell phone with a flip format.
Xiaomi is currently present in the folding market with the Mix Fold 2, an alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Huawei Mate X2 and Find N2 with a thin and light body, indicating that such characteristics may be the brand’s decision to differentiate itself in the segment. .
We don’t know what other features of the supposed “Mix Flip” would be, but we can expect the already traditional design with a horizontal hinge to divide the internal screen in half and the presence of an external screen — with the brand expecting to follow competitors like the new Motorola Razr Ultra and the OPPO Find N2 Flip to adopt a larger display.
Just like the Mix Fold 2, which is only 5.4 mm thick, the bet on an extremely thin body for the flip model can result in a battery that is inferior to competitors. But the brand’s fast charging solution can reduce the recharge time to deliver a balanced product.
We know that the Mix Fold 3 is under development and may debut with an under-screen camera and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
So far there is no forecast for the launch of “Mix Flip”, but news should appear in the coming months. We also don’t know if this will be a product launched only for China or if the brand is also considering its debut in the global market.
