Xiaomi line 14 should bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and bigger batteries

Xiaomi is expected to present its new top-of-the-line cell phones at the end of the year, and some possible device specifications were revealed by the leaker Digital Chat Station. Details have been given on the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro models, with no quotes for the Ultra option as of yet.
According to the informant, the models will come with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The Snapdragon Summit event, which will reveal the platform, is already scheduled for October 24th.
The processor is expected to feature a new architecture of 1+5+2 cores, with Cortex-X4 as the main core. There will be five Cortex-A720 and two A520, while the GPU will be the Adreno 750.
Previous rumors point out that the 8 Gen 3 can bring performance gains close to 30% in the graphical part, compared to the 8 Gen 2. The performance in single-core would be improved by 13%, while the difference in multi-core should remain around 20%.
It was also said that the Xiaomi 14 should bring a new battery of 4,860 mAh, a capacity greater than the 4,500 mAh of the previous device. The Xiaomi 14 Pro, in turn, would have a 5,000 mAh tank, against the 4,820 mAh of the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
The Xiaomi 14’s recharge power should also be improved, with support for 90 W wired and 50 W wireless. The Pro variant would remain with 120 W in wired charging, and the same 50 W in wireless bases.
It is likely that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will not be presented along with the other options, and will appear at an event of its own in the future. This is a strategy similar to what the brand has already done on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Ultra, for example.
Anyway, the most advanced model should remain with its set of cameras as its main attraction. It has been said that Xiaomi will continue to partner with Leica on its optical sets, but details about the sensors have not yet been released.
The launch of the first models of the Xiaomi 14 line is expected for the month of November, a little earlier than the traditional schedule of the Chinese company. Global versions should appear only in the first quarter of 2024.
