Xiaomi should present the Xiaomi Civi 3 soon, and the device gained possible technical characteristics through information from the Digital Chat Station profile, on the Chinese social network Weibo. The profile gave more details about the device’s cameras, among other aspects.
The device is expected to have a 50MP Sony IMX800 as its main sensor. This is a component already seen in models like the Xiaomi 13 and the Redmi K60 Pro, for example.
So far, no details have been commented on the auxiliary sensors on the rear panel. If the brand maintains an arrangement similar to that of the CIVI 2, the new model can bring an ultrawide camera and one for macro content.
In the front section, the Xiaomi CIVI 3 should repeat the recipe of its predecessor and bring two selfie cameras. Rumors point out that both may come with 32 MP sensors, both for the main set and for the ultrawide.
Xiaomi CIVI 3 will have Dimensity 8200 Ultra
Through its social networks, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the CIVI 3 performance set will be led by a recently launched Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra processor. The platform features 4-nanometer architecture, image processing improvements, and more.
However, benchmark tests and certification listings gave more details of the device’s performance. It will have at least one version with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, and its operating system will be Android 13.
Little has been said about the device’s screen, but it is likely to feature a Full HD resolution panel and 120 Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the CIVI 2 brought a 6.55-inch display with OLED technology.
Its construction should still house a 4,500 mAh battery, with support for 67 W recharges with a USB-C cable – therefore, similar characteristics to the current model.
According to the latest possibilities, the Xiaomi CIVI 3 could be unveiled on May 30th in China. As with previous generations of the series, it is possible that the device will reach other countries with a new name and minor changes after its launch in China.
