It is persistent that Xiaomi will present its 12 series around the Xiaomi 12 as early as December 2021. A brand new rumor now mentions the Xiaomi 12X as a more compact and also technically stripped-down alternative to the top models in the range such as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced.

At the moment we don’t know how many models the 12 series will actually include and how many of them will be on display in December. But thanks to the Polish speaker Kacper Skrzypek, we now at least already know about the existence of the Xiaomi 12X with the model number 2112123AG. According to the Android Authority, the ending indicates a global version.

As with the Poco F3, the 12X should rely on the Snapdragon 870 and also on a 50 MP main camera. It is then actually already clear that we cannot expect a compact flagship from the Chinese with the 6.28-inch smartphone, but rather a mid-range device.

The leaker also mentions an AMOLED panel, the dimensions of which he estimates at 145.4 x 65.4 mm and which, in addition to FHD + resolution, has a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. We don’t know much more about the technical side.
So with this particular model, we’re still pretty much in the dark. But it seems to be emerging that a Xiaomi 12 mini, which was also wafting through the rumor mill, is off the table and makes space for this more compact mid-range smartphone.
That’s a bit of a shame because it would be nice if Xiaomi would also send a model for friends of smaller smartphones with high-end specs into the race. What do you say Would you appreciate Xiaomi 12X leaks, which is a little more manageable?
