5 – Alias Grace

Margaret Atwood’s literary work, Vulgo Grace, inspired the creation of this miniseries. The book actually had already been inspired by Grace Marks, a maid who was accused as an accomplice in the murder of her boss and the governess of the farm where she worked, in the 19th century.
While the killer was sentenced to death, Grace received “only” a life sentence. A psychiatrist steps in to decide whether the maid can plead insanity in her defense before the jury.

4 – Every Day the Same Night

On January 25 of this year, it was added to the streaming catalog Every Day the Same Night. The national production is based on the book written by journalist Daniela Arbex and shows the before, during and after the Kiss Nightclub tragedy.
The five-episode limited series depicts the aftermath of those having to deal with the loss of loved ones as they continue to seek justice a decade after the event.
