A new generation of liars is doing their thing in the advance of Pretty Little Liars: A New Sin (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), which will premiere on July 28, 2022 in hbo max. This would be the sequel to the hit 2010 teen drama, Pretty Little Liars (based on the book series by Sarah Shepard with the same name), which continues the story of the original series (it lasted seven seasons and 160 episodes); but this time it focuses on a completely new group of teenagers and in another location.
The new group of friends is made up of the young promises of the action of the United States, Bailee Madison (A wife of lies), Malia Pyles (Memory), Maia Refico (Kally’s Mashup: A Very Kally Birthday), Chandler Kinney (ZOMBIES 2; ZOMBIES 3) Y Zaria. They characterize the five main characters: Imogen, Minnie, Noa, Tabby and Faran; a group of young girls harassed by “A”, an anonymous identity with which the villains in the original thriller camouflaged themselves.
While the “A”s of the original fiction harassed the girls with their personal secrets, this one has a different focus, since it chases these five friends, but because of the mistakes their mothers made when they were in high school.. In addition to the five main cast members, Pretty Little Liars: A New Sin will also star Mallory Bechtel (The Devil’s Legacy), as the bad girl from high school Karen, Eric Johnson (Fifty Shades Darker; Fifty Shades Freed) as the local police officer, Sheriff Beasley, and alex aiono (Ohana: a magnificent treasure) as Noa’s boyfriend, Shawn.
Did you know Pretty Little Liars: A New Sin follows two previous short-lived spin-offs? That’s right, we told you that the first was the supernatural drama series Ravenswood, released in 2013; while the second, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, took place in 2019. Both series opened in ABC Family/Free form with just one delivery.
This production has been developed by Roberto Aguirre Sacasa Y Lindsay Calhoon Bringwho previously worked together as screenwriters for chilling adventures of sabrina, of Netflix. Aguirre-Sacasa produces executively through his company Muckle Man Productionsbeside Alloy Entertainment Y Warner Bros. Television.
Finally, other executive producers are Calhoon Bring, Michael Grassy, Caroline Baron, Leslie Morgenstein Y Gina Girolamo from Alloy. Remember, wait for it on July 28!
