Carnival is approaching, and with it the traditional Samba School Parade. The event is a decades-old tradition in various parts of Brazil, mainly in the state capitals of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
And as tickets for both are highly sought after and sell out in a matter of hours, TV stations take advantage of the popularity of Carnival to broadcast in full parades in both cities, as well as counting the votes to find out which schools will win.

Carnival in Rio de Janeiro
This year, the transmission of Carnival in the city of Rio de Janeiro will be made on two open TV channels: Band and Globo. The first will cover the shows of the Série Ouro, former Grupo de Acesso, on Friday (17) and Saturday (18). Rede Globo will broadcast the Special Group parades on Sunday (19) and Monday (20).

Band begins broadcasting the Série Ouro on Friday (17) for the state of Rio de Janeiro with presenter Glenda Kozlowski and narrator Sérgio Maurício. See the order of the parades:
- 21:15 – Start from Engenho de Dentro;
- 22h20 – Lins Imperial;
- 11:25 pm – Academics of Vigário Geral;
- 00h30 – Estácio de Sá;
- 01:35 – United of Father Miguel;
- 02:40 – Academics of Niterói;
- 03:45 – San Clemente.
On Saturday (18), the transmission starts at the same time, and with the same team, in the following order:
- 21:15 – Union of Jacarepaguá;
- 22h20 – United of the Bridge;
- 23:25 – United of Bangu;
- 00h30 – Short notice;
- 01:35 – United from Porto da Pedra;
- 02h40 – União da Ilha do Governador;
- 03:45 – Império da Tijuca;
- 4:50 am – Innocents of Belford Roxo.

TV Globo, on the other hand, will broadcast the Special Group parades starting on Sunday (19) throughout Brazil, with the presenters Alex Escobar and Maju Coutinho. See the order of the parades:
- 22h – Serrano Empire;
- 23:10 – Grande Rio;
- 0h20 – Youth;
- 1h30 – United of Tijuca;
- 2h40 – Willow;
- 3h50 – Hose.
On Monday (20), the transmission starts after the Big Brother Brasil 23 program, and will have the following parade order:
- 10 pm – Tuiuti Paradise;
- 23:10 – Portela;
- 0h20 – Vila Isabel;
- 1h30 – Imperatriz Leopoldinense;
- 2h40 – Beija-Flor;
- 3:50 am – Viradouro.
It is also worth remembering that the streaming platform Globoplay will broadcast all the Rio de Janeiro Special Group parades in fulland free of charge.
The transmission of the Grupo de Acesso do Rio de Janeiro parades will be made by TV GloboSource: LIESA
The transmission of the verification of the notes of the Special Group parades will be broadcast by TV Globo on Wednesday (22), starting at 3:30 pm, Brasília time, for the entire state of Rio de Janeiro.
Sao Paulo Carnival
This year, the transmission of the carnival in the city of São Paulo will be made by TV Globo for the whole country.

It is worth remembering that, until last year, the broadcaster broadcast the Grupo de Acesso parade from Rio de Janeiro to the state of Rio de Janeiro, and that of São Paulo schools to the whole country.

The coverage and transmission will be done on Friday (17) and Saturday (18) at open channel, and also on the Globoplay streaming platformin full, and free of charge.
Rede Globo starts broadcasting Grupo de Acesso on Friday (17), after Big Brother Brasil 23, with presenter Aline Midlej and journalist Rodrigo Bocardi. The order of the parades will be:
- 23:15 – Independent Tricolor;
- 0h20 – Academicians of Tatuapé;
- 01:25 – Baroque Zona Sul;
- 02:30 – United of Vila Maria;
- 03:35 – Roses of Gold;
- 04h40 – Major Tom;
- 05:45 – Gaviões da Fiel
The São Paulo carnival parade will be broadcast on TV GloboSource: LIGA SP
On Saturday (18), the broadcast on TV Globo starts after Big Brother Brasil 23, with the same team, in the following order:
- 22h30 – Star of the Third Millennium;
- 11:35 pm – Tucuruvi Academics;
- 0h40 – Green Spot;
- 01:45 – Empire of Casa Verde
- 02h50 – Mocidade Alegre;
- 03:55 – Golden Eagle;
- 05h – Royal Dragons.
The broadcast of the scores for the Special Group parades will be broadcast by TV Globo on Tuesday (22), starting at 3:30 pm, Brasília time, for the entire state of São Paulo.
