The latest update of the trial version of the messaging application for Android This function was added, which seeks to integrate the entire company ecosystem with these virtual characters that each user can create.
Avatars on WhatsApp
These digital ‘I’s have two functions, at least for the messaging app. First of all, they can be used as profile photos for each user and also as a sticker to respond in chats.
On the latter, a special section will be enabled for them, where the characters adapt to different gestures and emotions, such as crying faces, love, surprise, happiness and others.
Although it has not been confirmed if finally these avatars will also have a utility within video calls, which is something that was leaked, but that is not available in the trial version for now.
Additionally, within WhatsApp’se will be able to create the character and also edit. It’s not clear whether those changes will affect the other apps in Goal or if it will be time to create one for each one.
For now, it is not defined when this function will be launched, which is only available to those who install the beta version of the application in Android. In case of downloading it or having it from before, it can be verified by going to Settings and there the ‘Avatar’ option will appear.
In this option you can create the character to suit each person. To start, you must choose between skin tone, eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, among others. Then the body build and height. Then you can change clothes and hairstyle. To finally decide the background color of the image for the profile picture and some particular expression.
How to create an avatar Meta apps
Unlike WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook already have these characters available to all users, which can be used in each of the applications to react and interact.
This is how it is created on instagram:
1. Open Instagram.
2. Select the section of the profile.
3. Tap on the 3 horizontal lines at the top right.
4. Press on Setting.

6. Finally tap on avatars.

2. Create or customize the avatar according to the available options that appear on the screen, just as it is done on Instagram or TikTok.
3. When you are satisfied with the result, you can finish the edition and the avatar will be available to be used in comments, stickers, FacebookMessenger and as a profile picture.
