Manzana Y WhatsApp have enabled a new function to transfer the chats from the messaging app From a android device to a new iPhone. This is part of a tool update Move to iOS.

This tool allows you to move large amounts of data from Android to iPhone:

– Contacts.

– Message history.

– Photos and videos from the camera.

– Internet Bookmarks.

– E-mail accounts.

– Calendars.

– Various screen settings and more.

As the update progressed iOSApple added more features, including this one to help import your WhatsApp chats and content to the new device. This new feature is part of a joint effort between Apple and WhatsApp. It seeks to solve one of the biggest headaches for people who want to leave Android and switch to iPhone: losing all their chats.

Historically, WhatsApp chats, photos and videos in Android are supported in google drive. While in the iPhone this is done on iCloud. This is a problem when moving from one device to another, as there is simply no way to transfer backups from one cloud to another. This new feature attempts to lessen this obstacle.

Apple has also clarified that You will not have access to chats, photos or videos during the move. In fact, the data transfer, like the rest of the process, is done with a direct connection between the devices. In theory, this increases the transfer speed since it is not through the cloud of WhatsApp and depends on the connection to Internet.

Apart from transferring all WhatsApp chats, photos and videos from Android to iOS, the migration wizard will also scan all Applications installed and install those that are available in the app store and that they are free.

Transfer WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone, in beta version

This new feature is currently in beta. Not by Apple as this has been enabled in the migration tool called Move to iOS. The only requirement on the iPhone side is that it has iOS 15.5.

WhatsApp has enabled native migration for those with access to the Android beta app; little by little all users will be activated, but at the moment they have not announced when it will be activated. It should also be noted that At the moment it is only available for normal WhatsApp. Migration of chats, photos and videos from Android to iOS is not available for whatsapp business.

It is important to remember that the ability to move chats from Android to iOS with this new feature can only be done when setting up a new iPhone, when the migration wizard is activated.

Perhaps in the future the option to do the following will be enabled, or perhaps Apple will allow enabling this function to switch to iOS even if the device is preconfigured.
