WhatsApp is updated: calls of up to 32 participants

It’s been a week since WhatsApp officially confirmed the arrival of the reactions to its application. However, this is not the only feature that will appear in the service.

As reported by the 9to5Mac website, whatsapp for iOS now allows you to make calls with up to 32 participants. An impressive jump from the 8 people the app has allowed so far.

Now when a user receives a group voice call, the ‘Incoming call’ screen shows the call participants.

Of course, first you will be able to see who was the person who started the video call or else, the person who is inviting you to join. Once in the ‘Calls’ section, the user will be able to see the meeting members from the history.

This improvement comes with version 22.8.80 of WhatsApp for iPhone. Plus, it’s one step closer to the expected reactions that have been seen in leaks in recent months.

Also, the company is adding and promising more and more improvements to its app; some of them are quite inspired by proposals that exist in Telegram several years.

New ‘Community Chats’ are also arriving, although the company assures that they will not be the same as that offered by Telegram. This latest feature is expected to launch later this year.

Although the main function can summon up to 32 people, it is not unique. In fact, with this new update the service has taken the opportunity to improve some aesthetic issues of your application.

The new version includes a slight overhaul of several elements of its interface, including ‘Social Sound Design’, as described by 9to5Mac. Now Speakers and waveforms appearing in new WhatsApp voice messages will be highlighted.

In addition to the redesign of the voice message bubble, we also you will see a change in the contact and group information. WhatsApp has also provided a new feature that allows users to access your favorite photos and videos from within the iPhone camera roll.

These features are already available in the latest version of WhatsApp for iPhone. If you want to get them, you just have to go to the app store from Manzana and update the app. If you already have the latest update and still can’t use what’s new, there’s nothing to worry about.

In a few weeks, the company guarantees that all users will be able to use them; as is often the case with much of the functionality that comes with the service.

Improvements in the web version of WhatsApp web

From the hand of WABetaInfo, it seems that the improvements are not limited to the iOS version. Soon, users will be able to see the arrival of the Reactions 2.0 service.

This novelty was developed specifically for whatsapp webfor now, and will allow all users to react to a message with any emoji they want.

“This means that thanks to the new version of WhatsApp reactions, we can react to messages by choosing any emoji from the emoji selector. Recently, Will Cathcart has also announced on Twitter that the same feature will have all emojis and skin tones, which will arrive at a later date.
