Junker Queen to be nerfed in the next OWL patch before launch

Junker Queen, the first new Overwatch hero unveiled in over three years, was included in the most recent Overwatch 2 Beta.

However, by the time PvP hits early access on October 4, the Aussie Tank will not have had the same impact.

Despite just having a small taste of the second Beta, which ended in July, Junker Queen has already been noticed for important modifications.

Her power has been the focus of much debate as she was a popular choice straight out of the gate and has defined the meta in the Overwatch League since.

Overwatch 2 director Aaron Keller spoke to social media on August 21 to clarify the air and reveal that nerfs are already in the works.

In light of recent OWL matches as well as "internal playtests," Blizzard's hero team has "decided to reduce Junker Queen's overall potency," Keller revealed.

We'll simply have to wait and see what the developers have in store when the time arrives.

For the time being, top players at the highest level of competition will face full-power Junker Queen in the coming weeks.
