After hosts from their leftist network CNN dared to question President Biden's use of the military during his ferocious primetime attack on his Republican opponents, Democrats went into a meltdown online.
Among those offended by the president's use of Marines to support him during his speech were hosts Brianna Keilar and Jeff Zeleny, who prompted calls for their firing and a complete boycott of the left-wing network.
Someone whose Twitter bio includes the hashtag #BidenHarris2020 tweeted Zeleny, "You are clearly a shill for the RNC," just for saying that using the Marine Band was "a break with White House traditions."
The host of "New Day," Keiler, was the one to start things off when he wrote, "Whatever you think of this speech, the military is supposed to be apolitical.
"That goes completely against positioning Marines in uniform behind President Biden for a political speech. Democrats who engage in it are wrong. Republicans who do it are wrong to do it.
There is nothing unusual or wrong with a president giving a political speech; it is inherent in the job description, stressed the network's chief national affairs correspondent a minute later.
Zeleny asserted that it was against White House customs to perform it while two Marines were standing at attention and the Marine Band was playing.
