This Wednesday the last episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, leaving viewers and fans with uncertainties and expectations regarding the release of a second season. The truth is that while news arrives, fans around the world can enjoy and analyze the different chapters of this production.
The series follows the Jedi Knight, played by Ewan McGregor, at the fall of the old Galactic Republic and the rise of the Sith-led Empire. The first few episodes show him dejected, without much hope for the future and with little desire to continue his fight against the darkest forces in the galaxy.

Precisely, Ewan’s return was one of the reasons that generated more expectation among fans of the universe starwarswho wanted to see the British actor retaking this role that marked his career forever.
“Ewan is one of the best, and I’m not just talking about his role as an actor. He was also executive producer of Obi-Wan Kenobi, so, in addition, he became a great friend and ally in this adventure of reconstructing the history of this emblematic character”, told him deborah chowseries director, to infobae, in a conversation that took place a few days ago.

The also executive producer assured that McGregor contributed many ideas in front of and behind the scenes and that his presence made the series go down a different path: one that combined the retro with a more modern idea of the character.
“I think we were quite lucky to have Ewan, and it was not the first time that he played Obi-Wan, so he knew him perfectly, he loved him so much and also, he came to contribute much more to this Jedi. I believe that the production would have taken another path if he had said that he did not want to return to this adventure ”.
And although everything revolves around this man who goes from less to more throughout the six episodes that this fiction has, the truth is that it also represents the return of another iconic figure from starwars: Darth Vader.

Hayden Christensen returned to the role of Anakin Skywalker, better known as Darth Vader, after almost two decades of not being related to the film franchise. Deborah also spoke with TechMarkup about this epic comeback:
“When we were developing the story, one of the main reasons for including Vader was that we wanted to show Obi-Wan’s life in detail after what happened in Revenge of the Sithand without a doubt, everything connected to Anakin: He was of great importance to this Jedi and in a way, he was still a great weight on his shoulders. So we couldn’t deny his presence in this series and it was necessary to create this emotional journey that separated them and brought them together, and that ultimately continued to present this love-hate relationship.”
Precisely speaking of Revenge of the Sith, The director also referred to why she and her team wanted to focus on the series after the events of this film. “It’s simple: Obi-Wan and a lot of the characters are going through a period of time that brings out aspects of their lives that viewers haven’t seen. And the production wanted that, to show what the rest of the fictions might not have done”.
Obi-Wan Kenobi It is not the only series in the universe starwars that delves into other characters in the galaxy. In the line there are also productions such as Andor, which will be located before the events of rogue onethe new season of The Mandalorian who will return in 2023, and Ahsokaa production in which the character played by Rosario Dawson will have its own protagonist.
