Sony plans to introduce at least five devices this year, including the latest model of the Ace series, which has so far only been released in Japan. The appeal of the Ace IV will be its ultra-compact size and, based on rumours, significantly improved specifications, and the top of the portfolio will still be the Xperia 1 with the Mark V designation and the usual, iconic Sony design, but reimagined based on the first images with a camera system.
Based on the leaked image, the LED auxiliary light is moved from outside the camera island between the main camera and the ultra-wide-angle unit, while the infrared RGB color sensor and the ToF sensor, which were previously placed above the periscopic zoom camera, are out of the equation. The Zeiss collaboration remains visible, and the sensors look much larger than the units on the back of the predecessor model. Based on the NFC logo, this will be the version intended for the international market, which may even be presented at the MWC, of course with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 set.
