Wandinha: when does the 2nd season of the series premiere on Netflix?

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wandinha🇧🇷 Netflix series🇧🇷 it has only been on the air for two weeks, but the period was enough for the work to conquer streaming subscribers.

The story, centered on Wednesday Addams, daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams, proves that even nightmares can have positive sides. But the unanswered question is: when does Wandinha season 2 premiere?

The first part of the work premiered on November 23 and had eight episodes, all released simultaneously. That is, many fans devoured the narrative at once and are already looking forward to new stories. In that sense, we have good and not so good news.

The good news: Millar, one of the creators of the series, revealed, in an interview with Variety magazine, that, if it were up to him, Wandinha will have several seasons and even the sequels would have already been planned.

“For us, we’re always looking to the future, and when we sit down to create the show, we’re looking at multiple seasons, ideally. It’s something we never expected, but it’s the kind of expectation for if the show succeeds. So you always thinks about 3 or 4 seasons with potential for narratives”, said the producer.

In addition to him, actress Gwendoline Christie also “leaked” a possible return of her character for a 2nd season of Wandinha: “We didn’t see her buried, did we? So I feel that Larissa Weems would not really be prepared to be dominated by something as common as death,” teased the Sandman actress in an interview with Digital Spy.

Now for the not-so-good news: despite all the optimism on the part of producers, cast, and fans, the Netflix still hasn’t confirmed Wandinha’s renewal. As the series premiered just two weeks ago, it is possible that the announcement of new episodes will take longer.

As we well know, it is also necessary for the work, directed by Tim Burton, to continue to explode in terms of audience in order to guarantee more seasons, since Netflix takes many success metrics into account.

A 2nd season of Wandinha, therefore, could only reach streaming at the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024, depending on the pace and magnitude of production.

We are looking forward to it!
