Wandinha: The Addams Family spin-off gets a premiere date; check out
Netflix confirmed this Friday (23) the premiere date of Wandinhaseries created by Tim Burton. The episodes will arrive in the streaming catalog on September 23.
Starring Jenna Ortega, the series will follow the iconic character introduced in The Addams Family. According to the synopsis, Wandinha it will be an investigative and supernatural mystery.
We’ll see the character in Never Again School, “where she tries to harness her emerging psychic ability, investigate a monstrous killing spree terrorizing the local town, and solve the murder mystery that involved her parents 25 years ago,” says the official synopsis.
“Every time you’ve seen Wandinha, she was the one responsible for the clever lines, the conclusion of a joke, she always hits the nail on the head, and I think that’s what people really love about her. But in this show, we have a little more dimension of the character, she becomes a more real person, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen that before,” Ortega said of the production.

In addition to her, the cast also includes Gwendoline Christie (Larissa Weems), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Galpin), Percy Hynes White (Xavier Thorpe), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay) , Naomi J Ogawa (Yoko Tanaka).
Christina Ricci, who played Wandinha in the original film, will return to the Addams Family universe as Marilyn Thornhill.
