Many times a movie is immortalized by a certain scene. Whether it’s a sad, happy, surprising, shocking moment, or just because it has a choreography or song that can’t get out of our heads.

From funny little steps to exhaustively rehearsed choreographies, there were many moments in which a dance stood out in films and series. A recent example is the series Wandinha, whose “unusual ballet” became a rage on social networks.

1. Wandinha (2022)

The recent Netflix series based on the eldest daughter of The Addams Family is one of the most popular today. It tells the story of the girl entering a school for children with special powers, at the same time that she begins to dedicate herself to discovering the mysteries that surround the place.

2. Pulp Fiction: Time of Violence (1994)

However, nothing is more emblematic than the famous dance scene between the characters Vincent Vega, played by John Travolta, and Mia Wallace, played by Uma Thurman. The two do a hilarious choreography that is reproduced by many people to this day.

3. Spider-Man 3 (2007)

The last film in the hero’s original trilogy for the cinema was not very well received by fans. Much for the confusion of inserting several villains in the same story, and for Peter Parker’s beyond exaggerated behavior after he is contaminated by the Venom symbiote.

And if Wandinha’s little steps were one of the highlights of the series, in the second feature of 1993 it was also a dance that marked the film. In it, Mortícia and Gomez, played by Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá, do a choreography that involves multiple turns and even knife throwing.

5. The White Chicks (2004)

And among the many striking scenes in the film, one of them is the one involving the dance between Jack and Rose. In it, the characters, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winsletdo a fun choreography, and at the same time quite cute.

7. Footloose (1984)

Footloose is one of the most iconic films of the 80s. It tells the story of young Ren McCormak, played by actor Kevin Bacon, who fights for his small town to change the law that prohibits dance and pop music.

It is difficult to find a single scene that is so remarkable, since practically the entire film is full of famous choreography. However, the final scene, which features a huge dance, is still the one that stands out the most.

8. Kickboxer – Challenge the Dragon (1989)

The fight film is one of the most famous of the genre, and largely responsible for placing Jean-Claude Van Damme as one of the most famous actors of the 80s and 90s. The feature tells the story of a fighter who seeks revenge against Tong Po, who left his brother paralyzed in a fight.

And however much Kickboxer – Challenge the Dragon be remembered for the dozens of fights throughout the film, one of the most iconic scenes in the feature is precisely a little dance. In it, Jean-Claude Van Damme does an unusual choreography that mixes little steps with karate moves.

9. Saturday Night Fever (1977)

The Saturday Night Packs tells the story of Tony Manero, a common worker who, on the weekends, becomes a dancing balladeer who rocks the clubs and is always a strong competitor in dance competitions.

The film starring John Travolta marked the 70s. The film was responsible for bringing songs that rocked the nightclubs of the time, and which are still remembered at parties and celebrations. Highlight for the famous choreography of the song Stayin’ Alive, by the Bee Gees, which became a landmark.

10. Enjoying the Crazy Life

Another classic from the Afternoon Session, Enjoying the Adoidado Life tells the story of young Ferris Bueller, who one day decides to leave his routine and runs away with his friends to Chicago in his father’s Ferrari. When they get there, they start to get involved in a lot of confusion, but trying to have as much fun as possible.

Although not a musical film, it features one of the most famous dance scenes of the era. In it, Ferris and his friends get the whole city to dance to the song Twist and shout, by the Beatles.
