Vivo Y16 2022 has design revealed in confirmed rendering and specs
After going through Geekbench and having some specs revealed, the vivo Y16 2022 is back in the spotlight on rumor channels. This time, the cheap smartphone had its first rendering leaked.
According to Appuals, the smartphone has a plastic construction and should bring rounded cornersin addition to a completely flat structure.
The camera module houses two large cutouts for the sensors that will be 13 MP and 2 MP (depth).
As for the display, we have a 6.51-inch IPS LCD that has a drop notch for the 5 MP front camera and HD+ resolution. Processing is guaranteed by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset and it should work together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Finally, we should still expect a 5,000 mAh battery, 10W charging, fingerprint reader on the side, Android 12 running under Funtouch OS 12 and USB-C port.
So far, the only unconfirmed detail is the official release date.

vivo Y16 2022 is certified in India and appears on Geekbench with MediaTek Helio P35 and 4GB RAM
Vivo is preparing to launch a new “basicão” cell phone in India. We found out this Wednesday (27) that the manufacturer has certified a model with the technical name “V2204” in the BIS and FCC. According to regulatory bodies, this smartphone will be officially called “vivo Y16 2022” and will debut with low-end specs.
The approvals don’t reveal many details — except for dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM support and other telecommunication technologies. What really draws attention is that a model with the same technical name was tested on Geekbench in June, revealing that it will be equipped with MediaTek Helio P35 chipset.
The base processor must work with 4 GB of RAM and run Android 12. We are talking about a platform with 8 cores manufactured with TSMC’s 12 nanometer process. One of the latest releases with this hardware is the vivo Y01.
According to the leaker PassionateGeekzO vivo Y16 2022 will be released with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen and Full HD+ resolution. There will be a notch to house a basic 8MP front camera. At the rear, the Vivo is expected to adopt a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth camera.
The phone should be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18-watt fast charging. Possibly, the Y16 2022 will be available in several colors, including gold, with a MSRP of ₹11,499.
