Unhappy Night: Stranger Things actor becomes bloodthirsty Santa

Universal Pictures released, this Wednesday (05), the trailer for violent night (Unhappy Night, in Brazil). Starring David Harbour, Hopper from Stranger Thingsthe film tells a very different Christmas story.

“When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the scene, and he’s about to show why this Santa isn’t one. saint,” reads the official synopsis.

In addition to Harbour, the cast includes names like Emmy winner John Leguizamo (John Wick), Edi Patterson (The Gems of Justice), Cam Gigandet (no remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (Tomorrow’s War) and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation).

The direction is by the Norwegian Tommy Wirkola, who directed John and Mary: Witch Hunters and the franchise zombies in the snowwhile the script is by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who wrote Sonic – The Movie. The production is by Kelly McCormick of 87North, Guy Danella and David Leitch, who directed films like Bullet train and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw and produced John Wick 2 and 3.

violent night opens in Brazilian cinemas on December 1, 2022.
