It announced expected prices, product photos and detailed specifications OnLeaksthe 91Mobiles and the The Walkman Blog about two new wireless Sony headphones. The devices in question are the not yet presented WH-CH520 and WH-CH720N (pictured above), which may be successors to the WH-CH510 and WH-CH710N. The plastic audio devices are made in white, black, blue and beige colors according to the pictures, so they match the high-end WH-1000X series, but the touch surface used for control is omitted and replaced with push buttons.

THE WH-CH720N it will reportedly rely on Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity wirelessly and have multipoint support. For control and active noise filtering, the Sony V1 chip based on MediaTek MT2822 can be used by the headphones, which is also in the top model WH-1000XM5. According to the information so far, the built-in battery of the WH-CH720N will be 520 mAh, which will provide 35 hours of continuous operation time even with ANC. In terms of pricing, the sources write about amounts between 120 and 150 euros within the EU, depending on the tax burden of the given country. The predecessor — the WH-CH710N — is available in Hungary at a price of HUF 35,000, probably a little more expensive than that, but the new product is expected to be even cheaper than the HUF 70,000 of the WH-XB910N.

What else is known is that the headphones weigh 192 grams, charge via a USB-C connection, and in addition to the Type-C charger, a cable with a 3.5 mm connector will also be a standard accessory in the box. In terms of speakers, 30 mm drivers were mentioned in the sources, the frequency range can be between 7 and 20,000 Hz, and the codec support will be limited to SBC and AAC. The release is expected in the last full week of February, around the 24th.

Cheaper and simpler headphones will be the WH-CH520, without active noise filtering, but supposedly with LE Audio support in addition to Bluetooth 5.2. Codec support here can also be limited to SBC and AAC (with the possibility of LC3 support coming as an update), good news for USB Type-C charging, but the omission of the 3.5 mm connector is a negative, so the WH-CH520 can only use wireless receive sound. Accordingly, there will be only one charging cable in the box. A full charge of the headphones will take 3 hours, and 3 minutes of charging will be enough for an hour and a half of music playback.

The frequency range of the WH-CH520 can fall between 20 and 20,000 Hz, the headphones will weigh 147 grams, and with one charge it promises 35 hours of music playback without any noise filtering. This will be a more affordable model, the introduction price can be between 41 and 50 euros depending on the country, which is roughly the same as the current HUF 12,000 to 15,000 price of its predecessor (WH-CH510), which otherwise promises more in terms of operating time. The release date is questionable here as well, February 24 is most likely.
