What are the changes in Chrome
There are three modifications that Google implemented in the browser, looking for the platform to be “increasingly faster and easier to use”, taking into account that it is the most used application of its kind in the world.
The first novelty is the side search bar that will be enabled for the desktop version, this allows the user to open a window on the side with the results obtained from their initial query and continue browsing to find a better alternative.
In this panel will appear the other options that usually appear in the search engine, such as the section of images, news, videos and others. It can also be used to make a new query without having to close the main page.
To enjoy this bar, all you have to do is do any search and open a link, right after that, an icon will appear in the navigation bar. Googlewhich when pressed will open the panel on the right side of the screen.
The second new tool is password synchronization, which allows you to save passwords on the desktop version and in mobile applications for much easier access.
Activation can be done from the computer by going to the profile icon in Chrome then click Turn on sync > Turn on. With the mobile it is done by opening the browser application in iOS either Android, then go to the Chrome menu> Settings> Activate synchronization.
In both cases a message will appear with the option ‘Yes, I accept’, which when pressed will complete the process and all the passwords will be linked.
Finally, the third novelty is the option to pin a tab so that it is always in the same place and not lose it in multitasking, which makes it easier to navigate to those sites that are much more important during work or study days.
To use it, you must follow these steps:
1. Right-click a tab, then click Pin.
2. To move a fixed tab to another window, right-click on the tab and click Move tab to another window.
3. To unpin a tab, right-click the tab and click Unpin.
Hide incognito tabs in Chrome with fingerprint
users of Android they have a privacy option that allows them to protect the pages opened in incognito mode in the browser Google Chrome, by limiting your access with your primary lock screen fingerprint or pin. The steps to activate it are as follows:
1. Open Chrome on the mobile device.
2. Copy and paste this link in the browser: chrome://flags/#incognito-reauthentication-for-android.
3. Select the ‘Avalible’ button.
4. Look for the ‘Enable device reauthenticate for Incognito’ option.
5. Click on the restart button.
At this point the app will close and turn back on automatically. Then the second part must be done to configure the function:
1. Go to Settings > Privacy and security.
2. Activate the option ‘Lock incognito tabs when I quit Chrome’.
3. Finally, you will verify the fingerprint or PIN that is used on the lock screen.
Although it is a long process, once it is activated, no modifications should be made and it will remain active for future versions of Chrome in android.
