The other day the sharp version of IOS 16 was sent out to the public, but it may be appropriate to point out that some features are only available for newer models of Iphone.
Macrumors has made a compilation of which functions are involved and these are listed below.
The function to easily expose objects in images and use these in apps such as Messages and Mail requires iPhone XS or later.
The ability to get automatic subtitles for videos or Facetime calls requires an A12 chip or later, which means models older than the iPhone XS are left out.
The same is true of the improved dictation function, which makes it easier to switch between dictation and text.
The option to show the battery life in percentage directly on the home screen is available in all models except iPhone XR, iPhone 11, Iphone 12 Mini and Iphone 13 Mini.
