The viral video of Jason Momoa giving it his all at a Metallica concert is cuter than you thought: this is why

Jason Momoa in a concert of metallica and Panther, moving like a bulldozer through the crowd while shaking his mane: at first glance, there are few images that better express the triumphant power of an alpha male. But nothing is what it seems and behind the video of the actor from Aquaman and Game of Thrones I wasn’t just there to feel the power of Metal.

It is true that Momoa attended the concerts offered by both groups on Saturday and Sunday: there he coincided with Tommy LeeJohn Travolta and Adria Arjona, among other celebrities. After the image of him giving his all in the mosh pit, however, there is a very tender story that affects the actor powerfully.

As he explained on his instagram (via Entertainment Weekly), Momoa was not planning to go to the shows alone, but had arranged to meet travis snyder, one of his best friends, who has a serious case of leukemia.

“We had everything ready. That was a dream for Travis and me,” Momoa comments. “Unfortunately, he had to undergo an emergency operation last night, but now he is fine and on the mend, although he still needs your aloha and mana [palabras hawaianas que se traducen como ‘afecto’ y ‘energía’]”.

So, the actor decided to go to the concerts on behalf of his friend. And not only that: he also made sure that James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett, visible heads of Metallica, contact Travis Snyder by video call from backstage. “I am very grateful to Metallica for connecting with him: you are the soundtrack of our lives, guys”, wrote.

Throughout his career, Jason Momoa has openly declared his love for thunderous riffs. “Aquaman is very Metal: I know that no one else thinks like that, but he’s a metalhead”, stated in an interview with Metal Hammer, noting that the music of Tool, Black Sabbath and Metallica themselves had influenced his interpretation of the character of DC.
