It was Jesus Gomez Obregon who first sought to produce a soap opera in Mexico, having issues such as the financing of his project, that some actors did not first agree to work with him or that he would give him access by Little time the recording sets.

The person in charge of convincing Silvia to be the protagonist was Rafael Banquells, who by then had already positioned himself as a renowned actor, but not a director. Even so, Derbez accepted the proposal, knowing that it could be a great success or a resounding failure.

During the production of the first episodes of the melodrama there were several setbacks due to the little experience that the team had to carry out this type of project.

Among the artists, they had to help dress and personify, they all had to support each other to learn their scripts and practice their movements and, due to the limited time they had to use the recording sets, they had to record everything as quickly as possible. they could, trying to avoid mistakes and repetitions as much as possible.

Despite the obstacles, the issuance of forbidden path started the June 9, 1958 via Mexican Telesystem on its Channel 9 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
