The Sausage Party: controversial film will get a spin-off on Prime Video

The film The Sausage Feastanimation aimed at an adult audience, will win a spin-off series on Amazon Prime Video. according to colliderthe production will have eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere in 2024 on streaming.

Producers Seth Rogen (who also voices one of the characters) and Evan Goldberg celebrated the news.

“Film used to be a superior art to television, and we have humbly reached the pinnacle of what can be done in film with our masterpiece, sausage party. But, now that cinema is dead and TV is the queen of entertainment, we decided to continue the epic adventures of our cooking gang in foodtopiawhich will soon become a legendary television event,” they said, ironically, in a statement.

“It has feelings, twice as many puns and triple sex between foods. In other words, it’s all the world needs right now,” they concluded.

The series will be called Sausage Party: Foodtopia and is expected to bring back much of the original cast, including Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz and Edward Norton as part of the series. Among the new additions are Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell and Yassir Lester.
