The Oppo Find X6 Pro can take photos with a 1″ Sony IMX989

Little is known about Oppo’s next-generation Find X6 and Find X6 Pro phones. It can be calculated from the brand’s practice so far that the premiere and the product launch can be at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023, and it is also unlikely that one of the devices will receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. There were already rumors about the latter, at which time it was also aired that there could be a 1-inch (typical) sensor behind the main rear camera in the Find X6 Pro.

Now several Chinese sources are talking about the Sony IMX989 image sensor with 50 MP resolution and 1 inch size. This would be supplemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 32 MP zoom camera, we don’t know more about them yet. According to the sources, the base model will get slightly weaker camera hardware, and will “only” have an FHD+ display and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the Find X6 Pro will use the newer SoC and a QHD+ panel.
