HMD Global may be preparing another entry-level Nokia smartphone, as a certain one appeared in the Geekbench database Nokia G22 results. These are very similar to those produced by the Nokia G21 released at the beginning of last year, moreover, when the G21 was with us, it scored slightly higher in single and multi-core performance than the G22 did now.

Although Geekbench does not name the chipset the G22 was tested with, it can be seen that it works with an octa-core CPU scaled to 1.6 GHz, which suggests that the Unisoc T606 remains from its predecessor. On the positive side, it seems that the base model will start with 4 GB of RAM this year, while last year the G21 still worked with 3 GB. The G22 can also be launched with the Android 12 system, which can be an advantage over the G21, because the latter was released with the main version 11, it received 12, but only one update is guaranteed during the remaining time of HMD’s two-year product support. On the other hand, with the G22, two years have been ticking since its release, the only question is, how much will HMD raise the price of the new Nokia?
