WhatsApp added a function that allows you to pause the recording of voice messages. It is a tool that is already available for the versions of the service on Windows, macOS as well as iOS and Android. To make use of this option, you have to press a new button with the icon that represents “pause” and that is activated when an audio is being recorded. When pressed, the recording of the message stops and then you can continue recording at any time by pressing the microphone icon.

This option enables the possibility of listening to voice messages outside the chat so that you can do different tasks at the same time and read or reply to other messages. Previously, it was necessary to finish listening to an audio to continue browsing the app and perform other tasks. With which, this tool favors multitaskers.

3. Continue audio playback after pause

WhatsApp Web beefed up its security with an extension developed in conjunction with cloudflare called Code Verify, that allows to know if the encryption keys were violated and therefore, if the privacy of the communication is at risk.

It should be remembered that All messages sent by WhatsApp are protected with end to end encryption, a security technique that makes all content shared through the service (messages, photos, videos, etc) travel in encrypted form and is only decrypted when it reaches the recipient’s device.

The system itself is quite secure if that encryption works properly. In order to corroborate this, a new verification system was devised. To use this option, you need to download the Code Verify extension, which is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. This open source tool allows you to verify that the encrypted communication was not compromised.
