“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” premiered an epic teaser trailer and raised expectations

This morning, Prime Video unveiled the teaser trailer for the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powera story that takes place thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit Y The Lord of the rings, and is part of the universe J. R. R. Tolkien. In this journey, we will learn the most important events of the Second Age of Middle-earth, in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose and fell, and heroes were born while the greatest villain of this saga once again threatened to destroy everything.

The television fiction will be based on the saga of novels and their derived narratives within this same fantasy genre. Promoted by JD Payne and Patrick McKay, it consists of one of the most expensive productions made for the service streaming, the rights for the small screen were bought for 250 million dollars in 2017 under a deal for the development of five seasons valued at least one billion. Without a doubt, it promises to be one of the best releases of the year. Amazon Studios, Tolkien Estate, HarperCollins Y New Line Cinema are the companies behind the ambitious project.

The plot focuses on Second Age of Middle-earth, a time of peace and in which various races such as elves, dwarves, men and hobbits lived together. In this context of apparent calm, the rings of power saw the light and the rise of the Dark Lord took place, sauron, facing the fall of the kingdom of Númenor and the last alliance between elves and men. “There was an age, when the world was young, when there was not yet a dawn. But, even so, there was light,” Galadriel is heard saying in the newly revealed preview.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will have one of the biggest casts on television: Morfydd Clark as Galadriel; Cynthia Addai-Robinson like Miriel; Robert Aramayo as Elrond; Owain Arthur as Durin IV; Maxim Baldy as Isildur; Nazanin Boniadi as Bronwyn; Ismael Cruz Cordova as Arondir; Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor; Trystan Gravelle as Pharaoh; lenny henry as Zadok Burrows; Emma Horvath as Earien; Y markella kavenagh as Elanor Brandyfoot.

Other stars in the huge cast include: Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman and Sara Zwangobani. The eight-episode season was shot in New Zealand and the United Kingdom under the direction of J. A. BayonneWayne Che Yip and Charlotte Brändström.

The first chapter of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will arrive on September 2 through Prime Video.
