Lord of the Rings: Secrets are revealed at the end of season 1

After the presentation of two really vibrant episodes during the narrative arc, the series culminated in an outcome that is sure to captivate fans who have been following the production since the beginning.

Shrouded in countless mysteries, it can be said that Season 1 was ultimately rewarding, proving that showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKaye have ambitious plans for the future of Tolkien’s Middle-earth.

In this sense, the episode begins by bringing a prank to viewers. The trio of Ascetic (Kali Kopae), Nomad (Edith Poor) and Dweller (Bridie Sisson) meet up with Nori (Markella Kavenagh) and the Stranger (Daniel Weyman), declaring that he, in fact, was Sauron. However, later on, this statement is disproved and there are more clues as to who this mysterious man really is.

At the same time, Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) and Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) are welcomed by Elrond (Robert Aramayo) in Eregion. Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) is forging the power rings and Halbrand is very interested in the subject, including giving some tips on the materials to be used in the jewelry.

It is at this point that, during the forging of the rings and Halbrand’s conversations with Celebrimbor, it becomes evident who the true Sauron of the story is. But the clues were all there and maybe the Stranger with the hairy feet was just a ruse to leave more doubts in the air.

Continuing with the narrative, still uneasy about what was happening in the southern lands, Galadriel commissions an archivist to gather new information about the region, including its lineages. As previous episodes have revealed, the threat of Sauron was already taking hold in those places, although there was some resistance on the part of its inhabitants.

Galadriel’s revelations about the southern lineage are quite alarming and when she finally has a face-to-face encounter with Halbrand, her disappointment is evident as Halbrand has been by her side for almost the entire season. The episode moves towards a relatively calm ending, in which Nori still believes the Stranger is good. By presenting him with a staff, it is evident that this character consists of a mage.

While there is concrete evidence during this ending that this is Gandalf the Grey, if the production takes into account the construction of the Ages of Middle-earth, it is likely that it is actually another mage who has become intimate with the ancestors. of the hobbits, most likely the blue wizards Alatar or Pallando.

In this way, the 1st season of the series ends with some of the main elements of Lord of the Rings, especially when it comes to the characters’ individual journeys in an incessant search for something much bigger. Evidently, the episodes did their best to keep viewers interested, especially in their central mysteries.
