‘The Little Mermaid’ album: these behind-the-scenes photos won’t steal your voice, but they will steal your heart

They were months of waiting, of premieres of small clips, of news about changes in the lyrics of the songs, of posters that made more than one doubt about the quality of the live action remake of The little Mermaid and, after so much uncertainty and even more intrigue, the past May 26We were finally able to confirm it: the story of that young mermaid who dreamed of living in the human world has conquered us again.

The reason could not be other than halle bailey and her version of Ariel, so tender, independent and strong -and with a voice that we are not surprised Úrsula wanted to steal- as the character of the 1989 animated film that marked more than a generation.

Truth be told, we fully trusted her since we heard her sing Part of Your World at Disneyland, but the review of her love story (and also friendship) with Prince Eric, played by an equally adorable Jonah Hauer Kinghas finished justifying our love for the actress.

They have been joined by the performances of Melissa McCarthy like Ursula, Javier Bardem like King Triton and the voices of Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina like Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle. A cast that, under the direction of Rob MarshallHe had everything to succeed.

Despite the fact that the filming took place three years ago in the midst of a pandemic -and judging by the photographs and videos that the protagonists have been posting on their Instagram accounts- it seems that behind the scenes was just as fun as living under the sea . If Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King had already made you fall in love with their impossible love story, wait until you see these photos and videos that won’t steal your voice, but will steal your heart.
