In addition to movies, series and animations, Netflix has been betting on another format that, little by little, is becoming popular on the platform: the doramas. Korean dramas have fallen to the taste of the streaming giant’s subscribers and, among the most recent successful releases, is A Lição, (The Glory) work that was released on December 30, 2022 and which quickly climbed to the top 10 of the platform.

Produced by Hwa and Dam Pictures, A Lição is a dense drama that revolves around a central theme: revenge. In the narrative, we follow the trajectory of Moon Dong Eun, a young woman who is in high school and who dreams of being an architect. However, her days at school are not the best.
Moon is constantly bullied, being bullied violently by other students. As a result, the protagonist drops out of school and spends years in hiding, recovering. However, she doesn’t stay under the radar for long and creates a grand revenge plan against her former colleagues, focusing on her main enemy, Park Yeon-jin.
THE Lesson has eight episodes of about an hour each, all already available on Netflix. The work has in its main cast Song Hye-Kyo, Lee Do-Hyun, Ji-Yeon Lim, Aria Song, Yeom Hye-ran, Sung-Hoon Park, Sung-Il Jung, Kim Hieora, among other names.
Song Hye Kyo, incidentally, is already known to drama fans and made her debut in the movie Make Yourself At Home. Currently, the actress is one of the highest paid on Korean TV. She also participated in the project Descendants of the Sun.

About A Lição, the actress told the website Soompi: “This drama is my first suspense drama, as well as my first revenge drama. As the production has an opposite tone and character to what I’ve done so far, I’m looking forward to the new expressions and emotions that will come during my performance”.
