The Last of Us: viewers find new mistake in episode 6; look!

So far, episode 6 of The Last of Us, an HBO series that adapts Naughty Dog’s video game of the same name, was the most controversial of the series. And it wasn’t because of narrative changes or referring to the characters, but because of production and editing errors. After some fans identified the presence of production members in one of the scenes of the series, a new flaw was noticed. This time involving Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Shimmer the horse.

In the sequence in question, the animal, which also appears during the game The Last of Us 2, appears in a moment of peace, in which Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie are getting to know the Jackson community after finally meeting Tommy (Gabriel Luna), Joel’s brother. However, when Ellie approaches the horse to pet it, it is possible to notice the hand of a production member on the animal’s chin.

The errors perceived in the sixth episode of The Last of Us mark one of the first negative points of the HBO series, which, until then, was being widely praised by critics and viewers alike. In fact, netizens took the opportunity to remember the station’s “fame” in making mistakes of the type. This happened, for example, in Game of Thrones, one of the biggest television successes in the company’s history. After all, who doesn’t remember the infamous Starbucks coffee cup that was simply left in one of the work’s scenes? So it is.

However, one thing is certain: from now on, HBO will have to redouble its attention with its editing process so that more errors do not undermine the popularity of The Last of Us, which is already considered one of the biggest series of 2023. The work has already had a 2nd season confirmed. As of writing this article, HBO has not commented on the editing errors in episode 6.
