The iPad Pro was updated with an M2 chip

In a press release and by updating the product page, Apple announced the launch of iPad Pro tablets equipped with the M2 system chip. Pre-ordering has begun, Apple will deliver the new tablets in Hungary from October 26.
The exterior, weight and size are unchanged, the tablet is still equipped with an 11″ and 12.9″ display. The buttons and the USB-C connector remained. However, the SoC has been updated, with the Apple M2 chip, the new machines are said to achieve 15% better computing and 35% better graphics performance than their immediate predecessors. The SoC also includes a new media engine and ISP, so the iPad was also able to record ProRes video recordings, and the encoding of the ProRes format was three times faster.
Externally, the two new iPad Pros are indistinguishable from their predecessors. (source: Apple) [+]
The second-generation Apple Pencil is still supported, the new iPads can detect the pencil from a distance of 12 mm, and if the user holds it above the display, they can open a preview image with it. Samsung has been doing the same with the S Pen stylus for years, a useful software function. Also a software innovation related to the pencil is that from now on the text fields entered by handwriting will automatically grow larger for easier input when the new iPad Pro senses that the pencil is approaching its display.
These two iPads are the first Apple products to support Wi-Fi 6E, and according to Apple, download speeds of 2.4 Gbps are also available on the new iPads. The Wi-Fi + Cellular models are 5G-capable, and the nanoSIM card tray remains on their side.
The Apple Pencil or the keyboard are not standard accessories, they can still be purchased separately. (source: Apple) [+]
