The Galaxy S23 can save on several points

While Apple offers traditional flagship devices in two sizes (iPhone 14, 14 Plus) and absolutely everything in two sizes (iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max), those who want the highest screen resolution or the best camera set at Samsung have no choice: the Note you have to choose a line-changing, ultra-giant model at an extremely steep price, or settle for a smaller size and knowledge.

For what the S22+ cost, many thought it could have gotten the S22 Ultra’s more advanced main camera and QHD+ resolution (which was once a staple of the entire series), but instead repeated the conservative features of the smallest model. But there were already differences in charging speed, for example, and it seems that the S23 and S23+ are not the same device, in 6.1″ and 6.6″ variations. Although Samsung is preparing to increase the already low prices, it can still tighten its belt in the most modest size, reports SamMobile.

Of course, none of the pen-free S23 will get a 200-megapixel main camera, 10x optical zoom or a panel with extreme pixel density, but the storage of the base model will not jump from 128 GB to 256 GB, in fact: the theoretically twice faster UFS 4.0 standard will not be available either. UFS 3.1 remains. Likewise, the Galaxy S23 may stick to the WiFi 6E modem, leaving behind the more modern WiFi 7 unit of the S23+ and S23 Ultra, which can be up to 4.8x faster, although there aren’t many networks in the world where this makes a real difference in real life. The UWB chip that communicates with gadgets may also be missing, and in the end the S23 may stick to 25-watt charging, not that the other two are competitive in the Android space at 45 watts.

This does not mean that the 6.1″ S23 should be looked down upon: many people especially like the smaller form factor, and after last year’s fiasco, Samsung is no longer spoiling people here with the Exynos chip: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy marked chip will be lurking in the house. The FHD+ AMOLED 2X panel promises to be ultra-bright at 1,750 nits (just don’t let the system reduce it in the first heat), and the 50 + 12 + 10 megapixel rear and 12 megapixel front cameras are not expected to perform either. The double Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protective glass promises to be even tougher with the aluminum frame on an IP68 basis, and now the software situation is also great, regardless of size and individual differences. Presentation on Wednesday.
