Update (20/06/2022) – GS
It’s not today that we hear the name of Ezra Miller linked to bizarre controversies, but it seems that in recent weeks, the actor’s situation has reached its peak, making his professional relationship with Warner Bros. become unsustainable.
Although Warner has remained silent about all the controversies involving the actor, we must remember that, next year, Miller will be the protagonist of the first Flash movie, which has left many wondering how the studio intends to deal with all of them. these problems and what the future of the franchise will be.
According to Deadline, The Flash should be Ezra Miller’s last film at Warner Bros., but beyond that, studio executives are studying what the best alternative will be for the release.
With the recent merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery, David Zaslav, the company’s new CEO, will have to deal with this problem inherited by the previous administration.
According to the website, Zaslav has several options and will make a choice soon. Among them: he may give up promoting the film much in the summer of 2023, limiting himself to a few small marketing actions and no advertising tour. Or he can send the release directly to streaming on HBO Max and lose profits. Ultimately, he might invest heavily to make the movie a hit and then dump Miller if they can’t straighten things out.
There’s no win in that for Warner Bros. This is a problem inherited by Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal remains at a low level before the film’s release, and we hope for the best.
For now, everything still seems a little hazy, but if Miller’s situation doesn’t improve in the coming months, it’s very likely that a new protagonist for the next Flash movies will be announced.

End of the line? Ezra Miller to be replaced in the role of Flash after multiple controversies
It is not today that we hear the name of Ezra Miller involved in controversy, starting with the bizarre case of 2020, where he hanged and knocked down a fan while he was drunk in a bar.
Recently, the actor’s name has come back into the spotlight in a negative way. In addition to being arrested for, again, getting into a fight in a bar in Hawaii, reports showed that after he was released, Miller became aggressive with the owners of a house where he was staying in the US state, reaching threaten them with death.
With so much controversy, it seems that Warner Bros. has finally decided to put an end to its partnership with an actor and that could mean that a new name will take over the role of The Flash in theaters.
While Warners has been developing a standalone Flash movie for quite some time now, with the project set to hit theaters in June 2023, it looks like the studio is going to have a lot of headache trying to remedy the problems caused by Ezra Miller, protagonist of the long.
Chosen by Zack Snyder, Miller has been playing The Flash in theaters and on TV since 2016, with his most recent appearance being in the final episode of the first season of Peacemaker.
This week, Rolling Stone revealed that Warner Bros. and DC Films had an emergency meeting on March 30, where they decided to put all of the actor’s future projects on hold at the studio.
Even though this is a way of trying to unlink the actor’s name from the studio, we must remember that the third film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise is coming to theaters, which has Miller as one of the central characters, in addition to the Flash movie, of course, which only hits theaters next year.
Until then, the studio will still have to deal with the actor’s name in evidence, especially when the Scarlet Speedster film’s publicity tour begins. By the way, Rolling Stone’s sources claim that the actor also had “frequent outbursts” on the Flash set, which was already an indication that he was “losing control”.
For now, none of the above information has been officially confirmed and the studio has not commented on the actor’s controversies, but the situation behind the scenes certainly must not be the best, leaving us to wait for more concrete news.
Do you think Warners should release the Flash movie and only then sever its relationship with Ezra Miller or should the movie not even be released?
