During Super Bowl LVII, The Flash finally got its long-awaited full trailer. The feature, which adapts the events of the acclaimed Flashpoint arc, features the return of Michael Keaton in the role of Batman, in addition to marking the debut of Sasha Calle as Supergirl.

Despite the controversy, Ezra Miller returns to live Barry Allen again in the DC universe. In the plot, Flash ends up going back in time to prevent his mother’s death, but ends up triggering unimaginable events in the timeline, which could end up with several universes.

The film, in addition to featuring Keaton, will also feature Ben Affleck as the “original” Batman from the Flash universe. General Zod (Michael Shannon) returns as the main villain of the feature – he already appeared as the antagonist of Man of Steel.

Speaking of Superman, after Gunn takes control of the new DCU, Henry Cavill will no longer be part of the publisher’s new universe in theaters. However, rumors pointed out that the actor could have a special appearance in the feature, but that would have been cut recently.

The Flash had been postponed numerous times due to problems, such as the cases of aggression and bad behavior by actor Ezra Miller. The film is directed by Andy Muschietti (It-A Thing). Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey/ Bumbleblee) penned the script.

The film opens in Brazilian theaters on June 16.
