As per the schedule, the beta version of the next major version of Android is available from today and users can try it out on their respective devices. Android 14 Beta 1 can be downloaded to Google devices starting with the Pixel 4A 5G after signing up for the beta program. At the same time, the search giant recommends, as always, that users should not experiment with their everyday phones, as the platform is potentially not yet suitable for this.
Those who were already included in the Android 13 beta will automatically receive version 14, there is no need to indicate the request again. Some sources believe that in this case it is not necessary to reset the device to install the Android 14 beta, nor will the data be deleted, but I myself did not find any relevant information on Google’s pages, so it would obviously be more convenient if this were indeed the case. Regardless, making a backup copy is not worth saving.

The next beta is due at the Google I/O developer conference on May 10, which the Platform Stability section follows, with the version that can be considered final, which will take over the title of “latest main version” sometime in the fall.
