The disastrous movie that Britney Spears starred in in 2002 will return to theaters

Coinciding with the publication of the memoirs of Britney Spears, The Woman in Me (The woman in me), Trafalgar Releasing will re-release Crossroads: until the end, the film that the American singer starred in in 2002 and received numerous criticisms, but which became one of the key products in 2000s pop culture.
In collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment and RCA Records, the company has announced that The film will hit US theaters on October 23, where it will remain on the billboard throughout that weekend. A surprise for a film that was nominated for 8 Razzie Awardstaking Spears for worst leading actress and worst original song.
The film received devastating reviews. “Spears delivers a performance with the same sincerity she puts into a Pepsi ad”would say Robert K. Elder, of the Chicago Tribuneamong the comments made against the title.
Where to watch the Britney Spears movie in Spain
The film tells the story of three friends, Lucy (Britney Spears), Kit (Zoe Saldaña) and Mimi (Taryn Manning), who after eight years of friendship decide to undertake a trip that will completely change their lives. A journey they will take with Mimi’s mysterious friend, Ben (Anson Mount), learning some of the most important life lessons.
The cast of this film is completed by figures such as Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers), Kim Cattrall (Sex in New York) and Dan Aykroyd (The Ghostbusters). Directed by Tamra Davis and scripted by none other than Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal), the film suffered such a disaster that it was the singer’s only work as a fictional protagonist.
In Spain, Crossroads: all the way not available right now on any streaming service. However, The resurgence of the title in the US could put the spotlight on the platforms so that these months they can add it to their catalog.
