The dating app for NFT lovers

lovers of NFTs (abbreviations in English of “non-fungible token”) they already have an app designed especially for them. This is Lonely Ape Dating Club, a dating app that seeks to link adherents to non-fungible tokens.

The service was created by Year 4000 Labs, which is made up of specialists and collectors of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)that a collection of non-fungible tokens built on ethereum. The collection integrates ape cartoon profile pictures that are generated using an algorithm.

What does the dating app offer

As mentioned on the page, users will be able to connect their crypto wallets and filter potential matches based on the net worth of cryptocurrencies and NFTs in their wallets. It should be noted that the great requirement to be part of this platform is to have the cryptocurrencies of the apes.

It should be noted then that users register in the application by linking their crypto wallets and once this is done, the platform allows them to show their net worth and their NFT portfolio. You can choose to link with those who help accumulate more crypto assets.

Moreover, users can send each other crypto tips. This could serve as a technique to get other people’s attention and thus start a conversation.

It is also possible to share metrics and other data related to NFTs, since, as is clear, everything revolves around this digital universe.

The platform also has the “match to win” function which allows users to earn tokens. In turn, the “Coin Digger” feature will allow non-BAYC owners to connect with a higher network for mutual benefit.

For now, those who want to join this dating platform have to enter the portal and join the waiting list.

How the BAYC came to be

The project emerged in 2021 and sews a limited collection of 10 thousand NFT. It was developed by 4 friends, who formed Yuga Labs and thought of generating these crypto assets based on the movies Planet of the Apes. In particular, the “apes together strong” meme is alluded to, a concept that appears in the first film: Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

When they were launched, the NFTs were sold at 0.08 ETH but this value did not stop climbing. Their popularity grew thanks to celebrities willing to pay astronomical figures for them. This is the case of the American presenter Jimmy Fallonwho bought an image of a monkey wearing a striped t-shirt for nearly $220,000 or the musician Eminemwhich shelled out nearly $462,000 for another NFT of this collection that he simply liked.

What is the next step of this cryptocurrency

On Twitter, the company Yuga Labs, creator of this famous collection, recently posted an animated video, along with a message: “See you on the other side in April.”

In the film, one of the monkeys is seen who, while fishing, finds a bottle that says “drink me”. The ape ingests the liquid and immediately the entire environment begins to destroy itself. Then another character appears who takes him “to the other side”. A ship appears, members of other NFTs and everything becomes very changeable.

Some believe that this could allude to his foray into the metaverse, although others believe that it could be a preview of an upcoming video game starring these characters. For now there are only inferences.
