This week it hits theaters in Latin America the bad guys, an animated comedy that proves that second chances do exist. The story features a rather dangerous, and also quite funny, gang of criminals who have been persecuted for a long time by the authorities. Its members are Mr. Wolf, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark and Mrs. Tarantulaeach of them with a special ability to commit all kinds of acts of vandalism.

However, their criminal bliss doesn’t last forever, and they end up being found and arrested. But, thanks to the cunning that has always characterized them, they decide to make a deal with the police not to go to prison: to become the good guys.

The original film features the voices of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein. And in the Spanish version, viewers will find the voices of Manolo Cardona, Kalimba and Jéssica Segura, among many others.

“The plan when you do dubbing, and in general, when you act, is to deliver your art to what the character requires. There are some who go very hand in hand with you, making people who know you say: ‘of course, it’s him’, as there are others who have nothing to do with you, and that’s exactly what’s beautiful. In that sense, in the bad guys we had to find nuances that were very distant from us, and of course, it helped us a lot to study the original dubbing in detail”, Kalimba told Infobae in a conversation a few days ago.

But being a good guy is no easy task for someone who sees bad as his lifestyle. That added to the truth, being “guardian angels” is a simple facade created by this band to continue doing their thing without being discovered.

But as the saying goes, “life gives you surprises”, and the truth is that little by little these very bad bad guys will end up realizing that doing good has its advantages. Precisely, the one who begins to notice it is Mr. Lobo, to whom Manolo Cardona lends his voice.

According to the Colombian actor: “These bad guys are very endearing, despite their misdeeds. And on that path, in that search for a second chance, there will be a completely beautiful transformation in which we will meet some characters who will show all their humanity and their feelings. All this told through humor and in a very funny way. I am sure that this film will not only be enjoyed by children, but also by adults, and everyone will leave the theater with a good taste in their mouths.”

The animated production leaves all kinds of reflections, but one of them is very clear: there is always a new opportunity to change and improve. About that, Kalimba assured that: “For me there are the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth. The opportunity comes day by day and it is a matter of decision. Goodness and evil are within the human being, and it is the decision that defines where you are going to go. We see it in the same film: the protagonists have been given an opportunity, but only they can decide whether they want to take it or not.”

the bad guys then it becomes an excellent plan to watch with whoever you want: family, friends, children, nephews and others. In the end, everyone will get a different but entertaining message.

“I am delighted to know that as a parent, other parents and their children will find many positive messages when they see this film, and that they will not only go to the theaters to be entertained. the bad guys It has fun, good characters and I’m sure the vast majority will leave with a smile from ear to ear. In addition, it will leave you wondering if we should, in real life, give a second chance to all those animals that make us so afraid and that we look at with contempt”, concluded Kalimba.
