The 9 new features of iOS 16 that Android already had

Manzana has presented its latest line of smart phones iPhone 14and the latest version of your operating system iOS 16. There are improvements and new features that will definitely come in handy, in fact many of these features appear on older iPhone models while some are limited to the new iPhone 14 hardware.
While Apple launches these new functions to the world as great novelties, the truth is that some of them are already familiar to users of Android.
TechMarkup brings below a list of some of the functions that Apple currently offers, but that Android already had a long time ago.
haptic keyboard
Not all devices input needs to have the feedback of a mechanical keyboard, but it’s nice to know when a letter has been typed on a screen. As a result, iOS 16 has introduced haptic feedback to its on-screen keyboard. Android has had it for almost as long as you can remember.
The main difference here is that you have to enable haptic feedback in iOS 16 (as seen in the photo); on Android, it’s automatically enabled on most phones (but can be disabled if desired)
screen always on
Samsung introduced the feature of keeping the screen always on in 2016 when it launched the GalaxyNote 7.
The novelty of Apple shows the time, notifications, calendar and notes; Plus, they can be toggled as you set them up with iOS 16’s customizable lock screens.

car accident detection
Apple announced that the new iPhone 14 would use its gyroscopes to detect car accidents. Nevertheless, Google was the first to introduce such a feature on its devices.
This service works the same way on Android and iOS, that is, they allow you to configure a SOS emergency button that shares the location in real time and there is also an option that serves to automatically detect accidents.

Dynamic refresh rate
Premium Android phones have had dynamic refresh rates for the last few years, especially since manufacturers started adopting 120Hz.
This high refresh rate kills battery life in most situations, so Android started implementing dynamic refresh rates to reduce the amount of power used by the screen.
Recently, Apple introduced its version of dynamic refresh rate called ‘PromoMotion’ on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, likewise, the iPhone 14 Pro can dial down to 1Hz for the always-on display.

eSIM card
Apple announced that the iPhone 14 would be the first of its phones to be sold without a SIM tray in the US and Canada.
Google introduced the eSIM with the Pixel 2 in 2017 and used it to promote its own mobile network. Samsung’s latest phones, including the Galaxy S22 series and foldables, also support the eSIM standard.

Fitness app for smartphones
