If there is any reader you want to download Applications in its smartphone; be iPhone either Androidand can’t, surely you have run out of space in the mobile device.

It is possible that this situation has been reached if it is a person who uses his mobile. Between downloads of apps, videos, photos and other files the storage capacity of the equipment is consumed.

The good news is that there are different strategies to free up space. TechMarkup brings some of those measures that can be useful:

1. Delete unused apps

The first step to freeing up space is to remove everything that is not being used.

On iPhone (operating system iOS), to remove an application, you just have to long press the app icon and later press on the X (x) that will appear in the left margin.

Then you have to press ‘Remove’ O well ‘Okay’ to reconfirm the action.

In the case of Android, To see the applications that have been downloaded, go to the menu Settings.

This option is accessed by pressing the nut icon on the home screen. Then you have to press Applications and you will see the list of all downloaded apps. Then, enter each one and delete the ones that are not used.

Another alternative is to enter Google Play Store, press on the three horizontal stripes that are in the upper left margin, enter My apps and games, then enter the tab Installedchoose the one you want to delete and press the option uninstall.

2. Clear cache

To be able to delete the cache on Android, which are files that take up space unnecessarily, just go to Settings > Apps > Storage and delete the cached data of each of the apps.

It should be noted that this will serve as temporary relief. The cache of the apps will be re-stored as they are used again.

On iPhone, to delete the cache you have to completely remove the application in question, and then reinstall it if desired. This can be done by going to Settings > General > Space on iPhone > delete app by app.

3. Delete downloads

To verify downloaded files, on iPhones you can enter files either Records and there eliminate everything that does not serve. You have to make sure you have a ‘back up in iCloud if they are elements that you want to preserve.

In the case of Android, you can go to Settings > Device care > Storage.

Or, directly when entering Settings, write in in the magnifying glass of the search engine that appears there, ‘Storage’ to go to that section. When you enter this option you will be able to see how much space the images, videos, documents and apps that are downloaded there occupy.

From this menu you can enter each element that you want to delete. Just like on iPhone, if you want to preserve content but free up space, you have to make sure you have made the backup in google drive Y Google Photos.

4. Delete WhatsApp files

WhatsApp It is one of the most used applications. And also one of the ones that takes up the most space. Not only because of the app itself, but because of the files that are shared in this way and that take up a large part of the device’s storage capacity.

To free up space you have to do the following depending on the terminal:

iPhones: enter WhatsApp, then press on Settings > Storage & data > Manage storage.

Android: enter WhatsApp, then click on the three points > Settings > Data and storage > Storage usage.

There you will see the complete list of chats and you have to enter one by one to see what space they are occupying. Then press on ‘free up space’ and ready.
