Are you excited to know what will happen to Eleven, Will, Vecna, Dustin, Max and all the gang that left fans’ hearts in hand during the 4th season of Stranger Things? Well, it will still take a while for us to have the 5th and final wave of episodes in the saga. But at least we now know that it began to be written.
That’s what the creators of the creation, the famous Duffer brothers, announced in a quick post on Twitter, with a blank slate with the Stranger Things logo in front of a number 5, and the caption: “Day 1”. The blackboard in question is inside a room and we can see some people, although none identifiable. The post is a confirmation of what the creators of the series had already advanced — that the final season of the series would begin in the first week of August.

With that, we reach another year in which Stranger Things causes a buzz on networks and on Netflix, where it arrived in 2016 and which attracted many subscribers to the platform. It was also one of the series that consolidated the model of “binge watching”, the famous marathons that only became possible with streaming, although today the model of weekly TV episodes is coming back with force in new productions, even to maintain the hype for product longer.
Either way, there’s still a lot to wrap up, as this fourth season left a lot of arcs open, and there’s still a monstrous villain to be defeated. It is also interesting to note how the series continues to bring several references to the USA in the 1980s, while expanding its scope to include even plots with the Soviet Union, parallel universes, scientific experiments, etc.
And what was just a story about small-town Hawkins now expands into a disaster that could affect the entire world.
There is still no release date for this fifth season, but the gap between the third and fourth was five years.
