In an interview for the magazine Variety last year, the actor even confirmed fan speculation about Will’s sexual orientation.
“It’s 100% clear that he’s gay and that he loves Mike,” the actor said. He explains that the development of the relationship was built slowly over the seasons.
“I think it was done so beautifully, because it’s easy to just make a character gay out of nowhere… They [os roteiristas] are developing this character with a journey and real fights. And they’re doing it really well.”
Noah Schnapp will return to the small screen in the fifth season of Stranger Things, scheduled to arrive on Netflix later this year.
