Star Wars: Lucasfilm Negotiates New Film With Deadpool 3 Director

According to deadlineShawn Levy (deadpool 3) is in talks with Lucasfilm to direct a new Star Wars film. The project, still without information on plot or casting, would be the filmmaker’s next focus once he finishes his work on the upcoming Marvel title starring Ryan Reynolds.

In this way, Levy – who will even command some final episodes of Stranger Things — may be the newest name in charge of bringing the franchise back to theaters (the last feature released on the big screen was Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerin 2019).

In addition to him, Disney would have already hired other directors to develop new films in the saga. Among them are Taika Waititi, Patty Jenkins and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (based on a screenplay by Damon Lindeloff).

Apparently, the studio may want to embark on creative visions from different filmmakers to revive the franchise on the big screen — after criticism with the latest films. Such a strategy has already been applied in series in this universe, which by the way were very well received by fans.

Already on Disney+, Star Wars currently lives with the exhibition of andor and Tales of the Jedi🇧🇷 In addition, other projects are in production, such as The Acolyte🇧🇷 Ahsoka and season 3 of The Mandalorian🇧🇷
