Shang-Chi 2: Marvel movie sequel may have been revealed

Rumors have it that it was revealed when the film Shang-Chi 2 should hit theaters. According to a post on redditreliable sources have reported that the (as yet untitled) sequence of Shang-Chi will be released in theaters on February 14, 2025.

If the news is true, the upcoming sequel will form part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which will begin in November 2024 with the Fantastic Four.

The director and writer of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton, is expected to return in the same positions for the sequel. Simu Liu is also set to re-incarnate the titular hero – who now wields the full power of the Ten Rings.

The rumor about the film’s release comes shortly after a news report suggested that the ten rings of Shang-Chi and the bracelet of Ms. Marvel could become the Multiverse Saga’s replacements for the Infinity Stones.

According to the specialized website CBRsources close to Marvel Studios have stated that since the ten rings and the bracelet have cosmic origins, they could both fill the same role as the Infinity Stones in the MCU narrative.

It has yet to be revealed, however, whether the Multiverse Saga will have other power items or an antagonist like Thanos.

the actor who plays Shang-Chi already teased fans about the possible appearance of the character in the next two films of the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and secret wars.

He said he didn’t want to get ahead of himself, but stated, “I feel like there might be room for me in some of these, don’t you think?” The line came a day after Marvel Studios announced its upcoming schedule at San Diego Comic Con 2022.

He added: “I was watching the presentation from… basically from Twitter and thinking ‘Oh I’m going to be busy! I’m going to be busy for the next few years’.”

The film, which will be written by the screenwriter of Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaJeff Loveness, is set to see Marvel’s titular superhero team take on the villainous Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors.

While the sequel doesn’t premiere, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings can be watched on the Disney+ platform.
