A feeling that manages to surpass that of anxiety for new episodes of ongoing dramas is the feeling that comes from waiting for a drama that has not yet been released (and often, we don’t have much information about it). The year is still in its first quarter, already full of fresh releases for all tastes, however, 2023 still promises a lot with returns from renowned names in Dramaland.

To further increase your (and our) anxiety in waiting, we have separated a list of 5 of the dramas that will launch in 2023 with impeccable return of actors and casts, and with incredible narratives. Check out!
1. You Have Done Well
The melodrama will mark the return of two stars passionate about suffering narratives, Park Bo Gum from Record of Youth (2020) and Lee Ji Eun (IU) from Hotel Del Luna (2019). While Bo Gum has been serving in the military for the past two years, Lee Ji Eun has taken time off from dramas, focusing on her music and film career (regardless of where she is, we know she’s a capable queen). You Have Done Well is a drama with the script stamp of Im Sang Choon, who was also responsible for the script of When The Camellia Blooms (2019) and Fight For My Way (2017), both dramas that have outstanding characters, charming narratives and comical, but with a hint of suffering.

You Have Done Well will tell the life of Ae Soon (Lee ji Eun), a rebellious woman who dreams of being a poet, and despite not being well off, she continues to exude positivity. Gwan Shik (Park Bo Gum) is a diligent and quiet man, despite not being a romantic person, he does everything to make Ae Soon smile.
2. A Time Called You

Thriller, romance and Jeon Yeo Been, how could it go wrong? A Time Called You is a drama that will feature a narrative that will mark the second work in the career of screenwriter Choi Hyo Bi, who also scripted the drama Babysitter (2016). But in addition to being a drama by a screenwriter new to the market, it will also feature an unlikely duo, Jeon Yeo Bin from Vincenzo (2021) and Ahn Hyo Seop from A Business Proposal (2022). We are already looking forward to this plot!
A Time Called You will show the life of Han Jun Hee (Jeon Yeo Been). After losing her boyfriend a year ago, she embarks on a mysterious journey through time and ends up in 1998 in the body of high school student Kwon Min Joo. To Jun Hee’s surprise, she meets student Nam Si Heon (Ahn Hyo Seop) who looks just like her late boyfriend.
3. Queen Of Tears

No one expected this duo, but we know everyone loved it! Kim Soo Hyun of It’s Okay To Not Be Okay (2020) and Kim Ji Won of My Liberation Notes (2022) will team up in the new romantic drama by the very worthy Park Ji Eun. She is recognized for being responsible for hits like Crash Landing On You (2019), The Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016) and My Love From The Stars (2014), dramas that made Dramaland history (and in some cases such as My Love From the Stars, even made history in Korea, modifying national tastes and habits, such as the consumption of chicken with beer).

Queen of Tears, or Queen of Tears, will tell about Yongduri village pride, Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), who becomes the legal director of a conglomerate owned by chaebol heiress Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won). In an exciting and humorous way, we will follow the journey of this couple who will learn to overcome adversity.
4. King The Land

The unanswered question is: Are you prepared for this duo? In other words, is this the romantic comedy we’ve been waiting for? Being the first drama scripted by Choi Ron and directed by Im Hyun Wook, from Reflection Of You (2021), and aired by JTBC, the drama is expected by many to cast Lee Jun Ho, from The Red Sleeves (2021) and YoonA from Big Mouth (2022). The duo caught the public’s attention after performing together at the 2021 MBC Awards.
King The Land will tell the story of Goo Won (Lee Jun Ho), an heir who can’t stand fake smiles, and Cheon Sa Rang (YoonA), a cheerful woman with a sincere smile. The couple will learn to mature to face the workplace misunderstandings that come their way.
5. Gyeongseong Creature

Marvel’s new boy and Netflix’s muse? Yes, Brazil, we will! And it’s even better, because it’s a double dose! Scripted by diva Kang Eun Kyung, responsible for the script of all seasons of Dr. Romantic (2016 – 2019 – 2023), in partnership with director Jung Dong Yoon, who directed the dramas It’s Okay To not Be Okay (2020) and Hot Stove League (2019). The production promises to deliver a show of chemistry between the actors and an impeccable narrative, given Eun Kyung’s background.
The drama will tell about a period when human rights are taken away and young people have to sacrifice their lives for happiness. In the plot, we will see the rich Jang Tae Sang who will have his life transformed with the arrival of a woman.
But make no mistake, the list of releases keeps growing, so be sure to check out the full list of expected releases:
